Each Orbis Workplace Wellness Programme is a five step process which
includes
- identification of the workplace needs (using current data, other validated
data and assessments);
- analysis of this data;
- provision of a detailed report back;
- development of tailored health and stress management programmes; and
- implementation of the programme and coaching by the Orbis team to
assist in ensuring optimum results.
There are three levels of programme available to cater to different individual
or team requirements within your organisation
- Balanced performance programme
- Optimum performance programme
- Effortless mastery programme
Effective performance, based on a stable, even, poised state of mind
and body, is the key to productivity, health and happiness for both the
individual and company.
The Balanced Performance Programme focuses on establishing inner balance
as the foundation for outer balance and success in all areas of life.
This natural balance is know as “homeostasis” in modern medicine
– the built in tendency of your body to return to a state of equilibrium
and health when temporarily thrown off balance by stress, behavioural
choices or illness. Restoring this inner or natural balance is key to
keeping you free from discomfort and restoring or maintaining effectiveness
and success.
The Balanced Performance Programme incorporates:
- Comprehensive Medical Assessment. This examination covers a full physical
examination by an Orbis Medical Doctor. It includes a full history questionnaire,
and a full physical examination including the cardiovascular, respiratory
and gastrointestinal systems. As well, a coronary risk factor screening
providing full blood count, fasting glucose, fasting cholesterol, lipids,
renal, liver and thyroid function will be undertaken. Other examinations
and pathology testings are recommended as appropriate, for example a
12 lead ECG Stress Test. A full report of the findings is provided.
- Maharishi Vedic Medicine Assessment. This provides a comprehensive
assessment by an Orbis Maharishi Vedic Medicine Specialist. There is
a questionnaire detailing daily routines, dietary and lifestyle preferences,
needs of your current body type, medical history, exercise profile and
stress indicators. Examinations include pulse analysis – which
is a unique sophisticated Vedic Medicine diagnostic technique giving
assessment of current symptoms of imbalance and fitness recommendations
for helping you maintain or restore balance to the mind and body. For
serious illness we recommend you adopt our programme alongside your
doctor’s. Your progress can be monitored by both Orbis Lifecare
and your Doctor.
- Stress Profile Assessment. The Vedic system of personality and behaviour
analysis provides valuable insight into how to maximise your stress
tolerance. It provides an assessment of your unique stress profile and
your current needs. It also provides an effective stress action plan,
natural and specific to the individual.
- Lifecare Coaching Sessions. To ensure optimum results, it is important
to incorporate a follow-up programme to assist individuals commence
the programme and keep on track.
Time, planning and programme requirements
- Initial assessment visit including Medical Assessment, Vedic Assessment
and Stress Profile Assessment. 1.5 hours.
- Report on findings and programme design consultations. Includes Medical,
Vedic and Stress Profile Programmes. 1.5 hours.
- Lifecare Coaching Sessions: 2 weeks and 6 weeks after programme design
- with Medical or Vedic Specialist 45 minutes per session.
- There is a pre-screening questionnaire to be completed prior to initial
assessments.

and flexibility. The assessment also covers a cardiovascular fitness
test unique to Orbis Lifecare. The design of a profile-specific exercise
programme tailored to your current fitness needs and goals is included
in this test.
- To optimise results, the Lifecare Coaching Sessions include in depth
coaching covering topics such as nutrition, work and life balance, stress
management, personal profile analysis, personal training coaching and
other topics as required. The health maintenance and prevention oriented
system of Maharishi Vedic Medicine identifies key times of vulnerability
to illness. Therefore, we also include a Seasonal Health Promotion Programme
of visits during the seasonal changes for the first year, to help keep
our clients healthy and on track.

with the knowledge, skills and techniques required to develop effortless
expertise in the control and command of the mind, body and performance.
To develop high performance, it is critical to harness an individual’s
potential for creativity, intelligence and energy. The Orbis Mastery Programme
has been developed to assist people harness the power of their mind and
to provide the practical skills required to create and maintain a healthy,
fit and balanced body and lifestyle.
Effortless Mastery Programme includes:

potential while helping to balance mind-body and behaviour is Transcendental
Meditation (TM). Through TM, the level of fatigue and stress in the
individual reduces simultaneously. This mind-body approach has been
shown to be highly effective in improving employee health, creativity,
and productivity while reducing and eliminating the detrimental effects
of stress on employee health and job performance. Orbis utilises the
TM Technique in our Effortless Mastery Programme for those who wish
to master the skills of perfect balance and effortless high performance.
This programme includes instruction in the Transcendental Meditation
Technique including three follow-up personal checks and advanced knowledge
sessions and a three day in-residence course for deep rest and maximum
reduction in stress and fatigue.

- TM Programme: Introductory presentation 1 hour. Preparatory presentation
1 hour. Personal Instruction 1 hour. On following 3 consecutive days
after day of instruction a 2 hour class per day. Over the following
three months: 3 personal checks of the technique. Allow 30 minutes per
check and 3 advanced knowledge seminars. Allow 2 hours per session.
Residential Course for deep experience and release of fatigue. Allow
3 nights and 2.5 days.
